Identify Priorities in Your Community: Utilize Exisiting Planning Documents

Locating the existing planning documents in your community is a neccessary and valuable step in the adaptation planning process. Planning documents will identify who and what is responsible for the services in your community, along with existing long-term plans and community priorities.
Documents to look for include:
- The Official Community Plan
- Water Use and Municipal Water Supply
- Wildfire Plan
- Sustainability Plan
- Emergency Evacuation
- Land Use Plan
- Sanitary Sewer System
- Parks and Recreation Areas
- Demographic Projections
